    What were the most important changes you wanted to make from NS1 to NS2 when you set out to make NS2? What was the 'point' of sorts that you had in mind in making NS2 which would make it an improvement and successor to NS1? How, if at all, has your view changed over the course of development about what needs to be changed in order to make NS2 a successor to NS1?

    Why were there so many balancing changes for 188? And were these changes made because the old system wasn't going anywhere? (I thought it was great)

    I have been loving the videos so far NS2HD. I think the entire community is very grateful for the effort you are going to (and probably jealous too!).

    I would like to know which of the developers is fastest in a gorge race around ns2_summit! Starting behind the bar (at old alien start) and finishing there too. The only rule being that they have to enter each outer room at least once (throwing things around the office and other attempts at distracting fellow contestants is allowed).

    This would make my christmas (and quite possibly that of whoever won too, giving them bragging rights for weeks to come).

    What was the driving motive behind the increased symmetry of NS2 compared to NS1 - specifically the addition of the Alien Commander and using the same split team/personal resource model for both factions?

    You often see Charlies window view down the street. What confuses me is the black screen resting on D's window/monitor? Isn't there a blind behind that or am I going blind?

    Balance concerns, I believe.

    NS1 3.x was kinda sorta balanced, if you had the right amount of players at the right skill levels, but the different resource systems meant aliens had way more res when the playercount was low and too little when it was high. I think the Alien Commander was a direct result of aliens getting "team res" (remember when we had "carbon" and "plasma"?) since they needed someone with a good overview of the battle to make such decisions.

    We had that in 1.x IIRC; marines ended up always having too much res.
    Though it does seem as if balancing that wouldn't have been much more difficult than what we've been doing instead.

    Already posted by Arga, Kala and Ale. Why the increase in balance changes. Are they intentionally geared towards casual players (some of the changes really make no sense on the competative side of things).

    Basicly all things balance and what kind of gamer the game is aimed at by UWE.
