<div class="IPBDescription">My NS2 FPS is terribad.</div>I don't know what is wrong with my NS2 FPS. I get the exact same FPS on both lowest and highest graphic settings. I'm getting about 10 - 20 fps only even on the server choosing screen.

Nvidia geforce gt 540m - 1gb
6gb memory
2.3 GHz CPU

Anyone know how i can fix or dramatically increase the FPS of my NS2? I can run every other high end graphic games just fine, but its just NS2 with the low low low... FPS.

What CPU is that? There is a huge difference between an AthlonX2 and a Corei7.

    Thanks!

There is not really much you can do, other than trying r_shadows false r_aa false r_bloom false, or waiting for another few patches... (there might be some more console commands - i dont know all commands that can help increase fps -> but i dont think this will be enough, at least not to get into stable 25-30fps)

Also the graphic settings in the option menu doesnt really do anything more than changing the texture resolutions atm(seems like it at least) - so you take the setting which fits to the amount of gfxcard memory you have... ~1024=high ~512=mid <512=low (ok maybe low also deactivates shadows, not sure)

edit: lowering the resolution can also help ofc...

Try updating to the very latest Nvidia drivers from nvidia.com, NOT your laptop's driver download.
