<div class="IPBDescription">informativly delightful</div>So now that we have loading screens is there any way to make them specific to the map about to load....
EX. your about to play summit, have the loading screen be screen shots of said map with a mini map highlighting that location... not super helpful to the everyday player but its an idea (oh and shut up its paint)

Yes, the current concept art is just stand in, for the moment. We definitely want to use the loading screen as a place to give players some basic gameplay information and tips. One of the thoughts is to do map specific screens like you suggest, however one issue with that is how to deal with community maps. We wouldn't be able to do unique screens for every community map that is going to be downloaded and played eventually, and it's a lot to expect the mappers to have to create those themselves.

I am sure most mappers would love to have screenshots of their maps shown.
But use the time to scroll helpful tips.
+1 to this
that way unless it is specified default is concept art
they've spent like a year or more on their map, im sure they will be more than happy to have the opportunity to design their own loading screens
(note if they dont make one you can always just default it back to the ones we're seeing right now)
(also... games like TF2, warcraft/starcraft etc, all have the option of custom loading screens..
esp TF2 they can even link it to a website, thats a pretty cool feature to have

I agree with others on here - if you have put hours into a map, you'll spend the time to make loading screens for it. Or get someone versed in PS/ILL to do it.
The default could be concept images.
Perhaps UWE could come up with a basic 'template'/'tut' that can be used to create these load screens that fit in with the aesthetic of the game.
Even some texture art for placement.
In fact, a .PSD file set up this way would do the job. You could layer any info you needed to explain it.
I have the skills and abilities to do this sort of thing, so I wouldn't mind working on this if it is a time/money issue. I quite fancy doing some icons/spray art/textures at some point, or some decals.
godspeed and dont forget to post screens! :)
Really?
