Pumped to play this build.
I'll be playing late tonight, for sure!
I can only imagine how epic the heavy armor suits are going to be.
I look forward to healing you big monkeys soon :)
Scoreboard doesnt work, minimap (atleast on mineshaft) is broken, no weapon animations or sounds, etc.
Cause it was so awesome that it would have made your monitor explode.

Verify integrity of game cache...
Preliminary thoughs: Mineshaft? Onos? Removed RFK? Nasty Gorges? Jetpacks? Spawn tweaks? YES!
*plays*
Performance seems much better.. My i7 950 is using 4 cores utilisation is somewhere between 40-60% on each core.. Seems like the CPU isn't bottle necking so much and now its back on the graphics card!
Only critique I can make is the Onos animation appears a little jerky...
I love you! This is an awesome update.
I did, and it still is broke. Not sure what's causing it.
But, parts of the video looked choppy. The main reason I haven't played much is the inability to get decent framerate plus latency. How has the progress been on these fronts?

Definitely verify cache in Steam. If that doesn't make a difference, try reinstalling the game. We have people in the office now playing without these problems so there must be a local problem.

It makes me want to try out the beta again.

I am not sure the last time you played but please do try again as the last few patches we have made a lot of progress with performance.
There is still a lot of work to do but it has gotten better!
PS: When being cloacked, the white things appearing in the screen is very disadvantage. Please remove that for a smoother gameplay.
Great patch UWE , cant wait for heavy and hmg :D
Jetpacks are cool, but upset the balance of things a lot since aliens' ranged attacks are so poor at that stage of the game (flamethrower jetpacks make fade unplayable without an equivalent to movement chambers). Lerks don't scale past the early game at all (and never have), but it's worse now that they're strictly weaker and you can't get them as quickly. It really feels like there's no point evolving until your second hive, while the marines get shotguns and other stuff that 1-shots skulks. Unless you really like building/healing, in which case the gorge is just fine. However, the overall trend in NS1 and NS2 has always been that the players carrying their team are the ones spending pres to kill players.
No RFK is incredibly disappointing. I'll probably write a big explanation about why when I'm more convinced, but I really hope it's just a quick experiment to be reverted next patch.
Mineshaft is really cool. It has a healthy mix of open areas, tunnels, heights, set pieces and so on. I really love how it reminds me of the old labs in Portal 2, as well as the caverns in Goldeneye. Just having a new official map will make a much bigger difference than the onos or jetpack, in the short term, and I have absolutely no complaints about mineshaft.
