Na sometimes you have a location related problem or a youtuber changes it to not allow embedding, with the link underneath you can still go there :|

My point is the beginning (com gets in - both parties start building), 2 lerks flying behind of each other, 1 lerk and 3 jetpacks in one scene and a big room; the new has almost every scene of the old trailer - with added new ones.

Or is there only one way to present NS, its buildings and classes..? ;)

Edit: The first GL you see shoots two DCs and another building...there are many similarities.

... cause the game is principle still similar? ;)

There is a lot of cross referencing with old trailers going on, for a bunch of reasons. A lot of the old trailers were cool, had good ideas, and many ideas such as the lerk tilt in flight and laser beams on pistols have actually been inspired directly by old concepts and imagery for NS1.

I don't think there was any specific focus on that particular trailer, but you'd have to ask Cory to be sure.

Heh, yeah, that old trailer was pretty cool, but any similarities with the new one were purely coincidental (not that we were purposely avoiding similarities either, though).

In general there are basic elements of the game that need to be shown off, and certain ways work best. Showing off building and commander mode is a must for NS2, as it was for NS1, and you usually put the non action scenes like that first in the trailer for pacing purposes. Aerial combat is the best way to show off Jetpacks, so naturally you're going to want the scene to include marines and Lerks. Etc.

But for nostalgia purposes I think it is good that it ended up there are so many shared scenes in both trailers, because people who loved the first game can see how similar and yet different NS2 is.
