<div class="IPBDescription">Progress Tracker Log</div>What do you suppose it'll be?
Is it implying another alien flashlight entirely?
Or
A revamp of the current alien flashlight?

What do you think? What would you like to see?

Either way, I think it'd be cool. Infrared Vision? Scent Trail Vision?
Or
Distinguishing with color between marines, aliens and structures and surfaces? Quick and Dirty Alien Vision Mod?

Personally I'd love to see the current alien flaslight revamped. Apply the quick and dirty alien vision mod, introduce scent trails (like in Zelda: Twilight Princess) And show vitals of marines via color (green, yellow, red)
I'd also like to see more distinguished differences between players, structures and surfaces. Right now alien vision shows marines and structures (and some props) in a more distinguishable color in contrast to the environment.

Would be awesome if a dev could enlighten us a bit.

I hope it is similar to "the old" NS 1 mode.

It's most likely a revamp of the current one.
However, one thing a really like a lot about the current one is the thick outlines getting drawed around everything.
It makes the game feel oldschool somehow, because the geometry stands out more.
And then it makes interacting with surfaces easier, as you notice them more.

Glad they're taking a look at these 2 colored glasses :P

I heard AV is supposedly a form of echolocation? It would be pretty cool if they revisited the pulse idea from the AV dev video.

It's very useful, but it's sad that the aliens have it nearly always on they see the game only in yellow/black

    Agree 100%

Anytime I am fighting a marine, I have to turn on alien vision or else they tend to blend in with the back ground making it very difficult for me to track them.

One of the biggest reason I love this game is the graphics but you tend to lose that when all you see is yellow and black....

NS1 vision was a perfect combo, it left the "decent" graphics and just highlighted the marines.
