Jumping over things

<div class="IPBDescription">it's tricky</div>A favorite tactic of mine in NS1 was to stand near a railing when a fade was near, and I'd shoot all I could, then hop over the railing to block him.
But in NS2 it's so hard to jump over things. All the railings are kinda sticky, and crouch jumping doesn't seem to help at all.
The problem could be collision from the railings, or the player when jumping, or not being able to jump high enough / railing too high.
If this is fixed, people are going to pick up on it and use it again fades instead of standing in the open : )

once the engine is optimized and people get better rigs, the game will play differently than now.
On a side note, I'd like to have some sort of free runing like the mirror's edge has shown.
Brink advertised itself like that, but the actual possible paths where... sparse, to stay under the radar of the swearfilter.
I have a fairly sturdy rig, manage a decent framerate on medium settings, and need to crouch to jump over most of the rails that lie around the levels.
It breaks up the flow of combat, and even sometimes simple movement from A to B.
would love to see this addressed.

You can scale walls/railings but also just regular jump over objects.
