Last build we heard an epic song only to be abruptly cut.

So i decided since it was a new build to stop and listen, and as it turns out it is the full version of the song.

    i think its what used to be there.. but modified.
    the drums are more.. primal.

    I love the menu music. Sometimes I just wait to join a server to listen to it.

    I think the menu music in 190s was the best.

    I have to agree whit you, as musician owning a little bedroom studio and endless hours spent on DAW i can understand the prodecures what this specific talent has gone trough.

    But DAMN! He has made freaking good work! Was it the original composer who is in this too? Who produced the original theme?

    If you have NS1, the music is included in NS1 as plain .mp3s in (I think) the /music folder. If not, <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/download/" target="_blank">download it</a>!

    Meeh, its not in their. There's a very short bit of it in ambient 1, like 8 or 9 seconds, probably inspired by the original, but the original itself isn't in there.

    I've looked everrryywhere for it.

    Not the original :(
    I'm talking about the very first NS1 release, back in the old WON launcher. Had very slow and haunting music, a sample of which was played when your team lost.

    Glad you guys are digging it!

    Most of the music was made by <a href="http://www.david-john.com" target="_blank">David John</a>, some of it was made by our resident sound FX guy Simon Chylinski. We are planning on releasing the whole soundtrack standalone at some point.

    The very first natural-selection menu music ever has surely been lost in the depths of the internet.

    Maybe for the best. Hearing it would surely result in death by nostalgia.

    Come to think of it, wasn't the composer for NS1 the guy who did Guild Wars' music?

    It was done by Jeremy Soule who does a lot of the music for the older RPGs like Neverwinter Nights, Balders gate, etc.
