<div class="IPBDescription">I love it, some ideas though</div>I love that structures will now simply grow from the infestation. I always thought this would be aesthetically pleasing in the least and immersive rather than seeing insect-like creatures suddenly poofing into a fungal/worm-like structure.

Just some quick ideas popped into mind though.

-Make drifter models 50% smaller to make them less of an easy target, since their main purpose seems to have been shifted to AI scout/caster.

-Also make drifters pass through players so they cause aliens and marines grief.



I can't wait for transparency to be implemented.

Any and all other ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
If UWE decides to pick out even one or two of our ideas or even none, we'll have helped by at least pre-brain-storming for them.

EDIT: I'm on the forums cause steam build 205 hasn't gone live on steam yet. Maybe I should sleep.

    I'm likely missing something obvious here, but isn't the Alien commander not supposed to directly assist players? Then isn't it contradictory to give them a bunch of support powers through the drifter?

    I suppose since Enzyme Cloud is a target ground + AoE effect ability, it doesn't necessarily provide direct assistance unlike Medpacks, Ammo and Nano Shield (which require direct contact or clicking of player by the Comm.)

    Edit: Now that Drifters will not mutate into structures, I wonder what will become of the <a href="http://artisaverb.info/NS2/NS2_DrifterEgg.jpg" target="_blank">incubator/cocoon model</a>? IMO, maybe Drifters can be grown on infestation (in the cocoon) instead of spawning besides a Hive, which could remove the potential spawning issues found on Tram and other places.

    Yes! This is way better. They shouldn't just *plop* into existence. And it makes it more consistent, when everything grows out of the infestation.
