When fighting onos, drop all your weapons and run in the opposite direction, make sharp turns to avoid his ranged stun. Kite this beast into a trap, and be praised a hero.

Not really.
As for Onos,
The best idea is to whip out your axe and circle them while hacking away?

Lerk is kinda ok in some places where you can play hide and seek around the pillar haha. Onos i absolutely agree!
I love to fight onos and hunt em around the map. Especially on Summit at summit reception, you can solo a full HP onos there :-D. Thats the best part ATM when I play rines.

Problem with Oni is they drop fast with Weapons 3, but i have seen a string of comms not even bothering to build the arms lab and when they do armor only >_< Screw your turrets! Gimmie WEAPONS.

Well let me clarify. Lerks with bilebomb who zip into your base with erratic movement (they don't really have to aim too well to drop their load) while frame rate and server tick rate cause the game to be very choppy and spore clouds make it hard to see are not fun to fight at all.
The super sekrat tactic against lerks is to stand at the exit to the room with a shotgun. Even better if you can bump them on the way out. After your team of self-proclaimed expert marksmen have taken a good 30 seconds to hit the Lerk a few times, it's pretty easy to kill it as it tries to exit the room. Talking from experience as both a marine and lerk.
Same concept, if you cant stand in the door to the room aim through it. After your team chases the lerk off he'll fly right into your crosshairs trying to leave. Free kill.
Lerks will be manageable when performance and hit reg improves, onos will remain broken until UWE finally addresses them (i.e 5 - 15 min onos is broken, onos should properly scale from early to late-game)

hit reg was supposed to have been improved a lot in 205, but I still have trouble shooting down lerks with the AR. I unload whole mags into them and even see the green blood, hear them squark, but they don't take any damage. best way is still to wait in doorways / mine the top of the door and get them on the exit

They don't expect you to chase them usually. They expect you to run for cover or stand and shoot.
I run at them.

See my sig?
4x Onos kills with the Axe...in one game.

I don't expect to kill an onos solo though, so that's a bit different, but at least you can keep your distance from them and know they are coming.
