invisible marines!

Was in a fight and the marine was shielded with the blue ###### then after the blue ###### turned off he was invisible. All u can see is the blue mask and the pistol with the laser.

    I have seen this quite a few times with aliens or marines, where they usually play the death animation somewhat then disappear. Usually with marines you see a floating gun like above lol, aliens you see nothing. It really just highlights the problems with the games netcode or hit registration i think, as the deaths being predicted are false.

    Had this a few times myself, killing aliens only to have the supposedly dead alien kill me because it was invisible but not dead.

    Now that client prediction is the same as server prediction, I do agree it shows some problem that has been underlying the hitreg/netcode for a while. Although exactly what I cannot say. This only seems to occur on moving targets as far as I can tell.

    Maybe we could get some testing done to try and recreate the problem more specifically and try and analyze it?

    Had the same thing happen to me yesterday on Summit. Marine was busting caps, started omnoming and literally as soon as the Comm dropped a shield on him he went invisible under the shield, so instinctively, you know.. cause going invisible happens /a lot/, I removed myself from that situation, waited for the shield to drop and tried to go for the rine again, well, he was there but... yeah.

    Fix this please <3

    Same thing happened to me. Comm dropped a shield on a marine [while I had Alien Vision on] and he disappeared except for his gun. If it was an intended feature against Alien Vision, it would actually be kinda cool.

    To me this looks like an issue that could be caused by the client kill prediction that was introduced couple of patches ago.
