<div class="IPBDescription">GET OUT OF HERE</div>Please allow us to enter a integer or double value for all the volumes and sensitivity. Slider bars are stupid. Please make the menu more like the fsfod menu mod or better yet just use his mod. I mean really im not impressed with the new menu at all.

How many best-selling console games (the ones that have more money than god) can you name where players have to type a nerdy internal number in to set something like "how loud it is" and they can't use a slider?

There will be (or perhaps <i>are</i>) console commands and scripting functions for the classic PC gamer types...just wait :)

Yeah. I still don't understand why they won't just make the Non Flash Menu Mod official.

The new menu is indeed disappointing.

    Positive:
    - Its not using flash.
    - More space for server names.

    Negative:
    - You can't sort servers anymore at all.

And thats just compared to the 207 menu. It obviously still lacks tons of features, compared to NFMM.

Also the patch changed my edited lua file that fix the FOV bug in the game. Whats up with that?

    Theres no FOV "bug".

Updating your game will replace many many files, some of these might be ones you have modified.
If you wish to keep some of these in the future, make backups of your file.

The "options" submenu looks hiedous tbh. Especially the bindings page. Too spaced out, buttons too large, text too large, etc.

Im not really a fan of the animations at all. I would love for them to be removed. I dont like waiting for stuff to open when i click on it. Even worse having to wait for a stupid animation to finish.

The goal for this patch regarding the new menu was a visual and technical redesign that has all the features of the previous flash menu.

We got about 90% of the way there. If the past is any indication of the future then surely we will continue to refine it.

    Thanks

Wut about the animations? it be great if they were removed. I would rather have a snappy interface then a pretty one.

I doubt they will listen to you if you post the same things every 1.5 hours. Relax, it's work in progress.

Why do they even spend time coding menu animations and slider bars? It only makes the menu worse. I don't get UWE. It would be faster to code and better to leave out animations and have text fields.

That shouldn't matter. For those kinds of settings having both a slider and an input box that displays the value is an obvious design choice given how many people want either one.

The game in general needs to be friendlier with making configs, it's an incredibly simple way to lessen the learning curve of a game. For instance, any ns1 marine worth their salt can tell you separate binds for med and ammo calls is much better than navigating a menu for it. I could probably screw around with my config or lua to get this, but that would exactly be the kind of thing the devs wanted to stay away from with new players having a config disadvantage in ns1.

It will obviously take some time and work, but the game options menu should be extensive instead of having to edit configs in notepad. The console is also pretty hard to navigate at the moment without autocomplete and some command documentation.

I like the new menu. I just wish the server browser was expanded and we had input numbers along with sliders. I like knowing my exact sensitivity and etc. You should let us skip animations by just putting in any key input or something, but I don't have a problem with the animations, I like them. The change was nice and a good step in the right direction. Still needs more refining, obviously.

I like the menu, yes it's missing some functionality but in terms of looks it's awesome.

This is a 7.5/10. Imbalanxd could learn something from you.

Try to call it socialism though that usually puts you over the top.

So, when did this turn into a console game?

Doesn't CoD have like 10 different sensitivity settings....?

Please keep in mind that we're not doing improving the look or the functionality of the new main menu. We just wanted to ship the basic version of it instead of waiting longer to get it completely finished before putting it in your hands.
