Lerk flight

<div class="IPBDescription">Make it cost energy</div>I think its silly that the optimal way to play lerk is to spam space bar like a maniac :

It's not enjoyable

It gives you carpal tunnel

It doesn't require any strategic finesse to attack with a lerk


If flying were to consume some stamina you would need to think before you strike or improvise a good escape in fear of being stuck gliding your way out and being an easy target.

So maybe make gas cost less energy to compensate for it, but the space bar spam has to disappear in some way or another.

Edit : that alone would be a good enough nerf to the lerk imo, thye can fly+bite for like 2 minutes otherwise.

    I agree space bar spamming is not fun, but placing a cost on basic movement is not the way to go. That would be like consuming energy for a skulk to crawl on walls and ceilings.

    You are right, though. Something does need to be done to knock lerks down a peg. I guess my problem with them is the same as with skulks. Their movement is so erratic that I need to be predictive in my shooting almost 100% of the time(like waiting for them to come in and out of doorways instead of tracking and shooting). If they close the distance between us the battle is pretty much over for me.
