"Come to the Main Stage at 1700 on Sunday the 17th and find out what NS2 is all about. Later at 1800, you can chat to the developers at DreamArena Orange in a live Q&A session."
*hoping*
But I don't understand how people play when they only allow 275 watts per person for combined computer + monitor use. How is that even possible if you are gaming?
Easy - nobody respects that rule because it's idiotic
I didn't think it was so much a rule to respect as a physical limitation you couldn't pass, i.e. you trip a breaker and your station shuts down. Have you been, and are you saying that this isn't the case?
We would absolutely love it if you guys were there, to help buzz up the presentations. Given the game is a relative unknown, and we don't have the budget for a booth, I'm a bit scared that no one will bother looking at the stage...
Any NS2 fans that want to grab a beer that night - I'm so in :)
It's probably worth it, and not just for NS2. Dreamhack is an experience I can recommend anyone who enjoys video games.
I won't be there, but I wish you guys all the luck!
Haven't read much about what's going on at DreamHack in the past years. Anyway, have fun in Europe.

DreamHack has a lot of pro competitions going on during them (Starcraft II especially, being one of the biggest and most followed professionally played gamed). UWE has a game will appeal generally to that audience, giving them a new RTS game with a whole different spin on it (that will hopefully also be balanced enough for competitive play). I personally think DreamHack is the perfect place to present their game on the main stage.
Yeah DH is far and away europes biggest LAN Event they always have a huge SC2 event and Heroes of Newerth has a $60 000 tourny there too so there will be alot of people there for both those games and then with CS 1.6, Quake live,Battlefeild 3, Streetfighter 4, lol and dota 2 comps as well, it makes DH the perfect place to showcase a teamwork based competitive game.
You might be able to get some additional exposure if you talk to some of the guys broadcasting the event for SC2 etcetera because they'll definitely be doing coverage after hours and they might have some down time where you could talk to them a bit about the game.

We're coming to Gamescom ALSO!
I'm angsting because it doesn't make sense for me to go to Dreamhack with Hugh. This is the LAN I've always wanted to attend. Back when starting Unknown Worlds, I always got inspired by seeing that huge sea of glowing monitors from this event.
One day I will be able to come to this. Until then, Hugh will handily represent UW and NS2. I can't wait to watch the coverage!
Well, if they want to meet their Summer release...
Awesome! Any chance for normal people to meet you guys and have a talk about NS2? Would be an least on good reason to visit gamescom this year.
I don't see how a couple days delay would change that...
