<div class="IPBDescription">setting up ns2 server</div>Hi

Just wondering what would it takes to host several teams in NS2 form different parts of area aside from STEAM? would NS2 works in a p2p (vpn connection) or a server-based connection?

Thanks for the replies.

Uhh, what? Are you trying to use something like Hamachi to play the game without buying it?

All you need for people from different regions to play is one server that they can all connect to. NS isn't P2P, so there is exactly 0 benefit to using any sort of VPN.

thanks guys. to devicenull : yeah some sort of hamachi . but since it is not a p2p type of rts game, there is no reason to host it no a vpn environment but it is still possible with server based connection.

There is a natural selection 2 channel/network on Tunngle for VPN tunnelling to host and play "LAN" games... Really don't see much benefit in doing this though.
