Am I the only one that dislikes the new alien vision colour scheme?

Maybe it's just me, but I simply can't bear to play in it. There's something about the dark green/red combo that I simply can not get accustomed to. I do like the 'blur' as a sort of trade-off, but the old orange/yellow thing was much much more enjoyable to play in for me personally.

Just wondering if anyone else feels this way

    Twiliteblue recently joined the PT group and has whipped up several new iterations of AV since; there's a particular one which incorporates a mist/fog-like element to visuals, makes you feel like you're in a rainforest :)

    Reminds me of fooling around in photoshop when I was new to the program.

    Can someone actually explain the change ... so i can form an opinion?
    I didn't notice the change ... so I am stupid ... or I don't use photoshop regularly ... or both.

    did you even press F as an alien? the difference in spotting marine outlines compared to the original is night and day. only marines light up while the environment is a dark green.

    If anyone's eyes were bleeding the current b210 alien vision, you can rest easy knowing that it was just a quick attempt to improve the alien vision. More eye candy will come!

    No, you're not. New alien vision fails at it's basic design intent. Unless it's to make the alien screen a headache inducing blur of orange and dark red.

    Make it customizable with the option to choose the two prominent colors. World color and highlighted color. It would also help different levels of colorblind people in the process.

    I like the new vision, but when you are cloaked, and use alien vision, it kind of loses it's purpose, I played a game, where big parts of maps were cloaked, and I often had to check if I had forgot to turn on AV, since it was as dark as the normal environment.

    i prefer the new one a LOT more. not only can you recognize more, it is also less monotone in color. to me, the old palette kinda felt like tron on diarrhea (no offense). it was not bad gameplay wise (i used it ~90% of the time), just against my personal aesthetic preferences.

    Will the alien be able to see effects like spores or fire (hopefully transparent) with the new planned AV? And will mines be highlighted?

    My feeling as well, it's too heavy, not very subtle.

    I would prefer something like this : brighten a bit the map (with some adaptation maybe, HDR like), change saturation or color slightly, brighten and outline entities (players, ...). That is all.

    A bit like this, but better :

    I like being able to see textures through it :( Is there any way to mod the opacity of the shaders like previously? The visions are cool but they will always be a big downgrade visually if they hide all the textures and graphics in the game.

    The new vision is great. Good job team.

    I enjoy switching back and forth between vision modes
