Spark is tough! I almost definitely will not finish this map, but it is fun to recreate the ready rooms (and I've been getting a lot better with Spark as I have been doing this).
Definitely a lot of work still to do, but I'm pretty proud with how much geo I've been able to create.

Be thankful you only need one line to close the loop!

Haha, thanks. So I'm not doing anything wrong then?
*Yeah sorry meant caged :D
Moar like caged.
Keep going, it's all about the failures ... trust me, I should know (I am THE FAIL MAPPER of NS2!)
Does anyone know how to find some invisible prop_static's that I apparently accidentally put into the scene? It's causing an error when I load the map, but since they're invisible, I can't find them...
Not really much you can do other than filter for props only(hide wanted props via group first) and trying to find it by selecting a big rectangle area ...
Even tho its invisible you should still be able to select it.

How do I filter out geo? I can't find this option.

one thing i've learnt to do is putting TRIM around everything, and either slightly beveling it, or putting it on an angle, it really makes things look like they are solid and full objects.
but of course it takes time (unless you plan ahead which i never do lol)
so its i've started to do up floor plans with pen and paper so that i can draw in or at least plan where i'm going to put in some trim, as its much quicker than trying to add in details later. it doesn't always work out the way you plan though! :)

Yeah this is exactly where I'm at. I started trying to add trim to this, but it's really tough. I've been looking in detail at the eclipse remake primarily because that one has some great detailing. The idea of putting the walls at an angle is interesting. The editor doesn't handle stuff that's not axis-aligned too well though which is part of why it's hard to do.
Definitely the pen and paper prior to starting would help, but it means I would actually need to imagine the space before I start which I only have a fledgling ability to do so far. :)

thats the nice thing about ns2, you can open up the official maps to see how the pro's do it
