  I don't know about size of the rooms persay, i tend to make them as big as i feel they need to be, but i have always heard you should only have about 15 - 20 sec Marine Sprint distance between tech points if that helps

  You can add a marine, an onos, a hive, etc from the props, so you can size your rooms relative to them.

  Thanks for the replies.
  I know the distance between the points, Just when I was mucking with my 'Speedball' map I realised that by going with what feels right, the hive is smaller than a tech point by almost halve :S
  Edit: And in all the official NS2 maps, the rooms are the same size, if the hive is not bigger.
