<b>Update:</b> I will finish the channel submission form this weekend and a display of offline streams. However own3d.tv compatibility will need more work. Due to the fact that it works so differently to twitch. After some consideration I have decided that I will add the entire own3d.tv channel and automatically check for streams, I will then add each stream I find to the normal list of streams. This will mean that several own3d streams might share the same channel name, but will have different stream names. This will require some re-work of the structure of this app, so I will combine it with a switch to processing the data as JSON and updating the viewer counts live on the embedded stream page.
<b>Bug research:</b> The IGN IPL Channel that I left listed was to debug the error message. After research it turns out they have a special deal with Twitch which allows them to specify who can embed their stream. This is good news as it is not a bug I need to fix, and should not effect the service for NS2. I will remove it from the list now.
P.S. Hopefully there will be some NS2 streams running this weekend!

People logged into the duplex site can now see a form under the Livestreams list, which they can paste any Justin/Twitch/Own3d stream URL into and it will be added into the database. Please add any channels that stream NS which you know of. If you attempt to add a stream which is already in the list, it will give you an error message telling you so. I should finish off the display of offline streams tomorrow.

<b>Update:</b> Finished off the re-style with tabs. You can now view Online Streams, Offline Streams and a Form to add streams using the tabs. If you have added a stream and wonder why it does not show up as offline right away, it currently waits until it has seen a stream active once before deciding if it is real and listing it.
Let me know what you think about the new tab based layout and any errors/problems you might encounter. The reason it is still very neutral (or boring) is because it will be moving to another site in the future and I am not sure about the colour scheme yet.
Wish there was a way to get a "NS2 gameplay" sorting. Some of these guys has 10k+ viewers, but may only put an hour a month into NS2.... I know this is hard though since its not something you can pull right from Twitch...

Some of the streams currently added were simply to populate the list, as there is so rarely any NS2 streaming and I needed to test it. So a large number will dissapear once I have finished testing. This will however become a problem in the longer-term, I could offer the ability to sort through streams with 'NS2' in the stream name (often updated for each streaming session), what do you think?
Maybe even add a little comment for each stream? Could be alot of work if it gets bigger tho. Like i did with my post here earlier , just in a more serious manner.
As for the design: I dont know, its kind of chaotic but for the first version its still cool. You could take some ideas from teamliquids stream list, i think its pretty nice , only think i dont really like about it is the cluttering of offline streams. <a href="http://www.teamliquid.net/video/streams/" target="_blank">http://www.teamliquid.net/video/streams/</a>

Yeah thats a good idea. maybe something like a sort option called "Natural Selection 2 Play Time" which polls videos with "NS2" or "Natural Selection 2" in it and sums their length? (this way if someone makes 20 1 minute long videos, he doesnt get counted more than another persons hour long video)

Thanks guys, I will look into taking a bit more information and displaying things in a way that lets you find what you are after faster. There is currently a bug where if there are no livestreams active it ruins the html, I will fix this when I am back from work.

I have been considering the problem of users needing to further filter the streams, to make sure people can find exactly what they are after.
The main problem is that the quality and detail of information I can get from own3d.tv is not as good as justin.tv/twitch.tv which makes filtering both equally, difficult to say the least.
Currently there are hardly any (if any) own3d streams I know of, so perhaps I should stick with filtering using the twitch.tv game setting and hope that own3d.tv releases a better API soon. This would mean that own3d.tv streams simply get filtered out for now though, which I dislike. I want to treat everyone equally ideally.
I cannot see an automatic and entirely fair way of doing it right now, unless anyone has a super clever idea? If so I am open to suggestions!
Also looking for ideas on what information should be displayed on the offline streams page, what would people be looking for? Im going to add: Official Stream Link, Last Active (days and hours ago), what else might people be looking for?

Update: Added Last Active to offline streams. It shows the days since the stream was active (streams currently showing 0 days will be changed to hours). Added Stream Link to offline streams. The last column now gives a link to the official stream page which opens in a new window (clicking on the name in the first column does the same). Removed all the testing streams, everything there should be related to NS2 now.
So far I have mostly enjoyed watching the mapping streams, interesting stuff! Get streaming guys!
As per a few people's request, I will be streaming a lot of the time while I play NS2. (This is Colt, Colt was already taken on the forums).
Thought i'd post in here to let you all know/get into the system/information.
This will be strictly me as a player, Alien/Marine, no modding/mapping/etc.
:) I'll have more information in a day or so after i figure out what exact method i'll be using to stream. Any advice welcome. I have XSplit/License, as well as Fraps and a twitch account.

Update: I believe the bug with streams dissapearing from the list is fixed now. The offline streams list checks that streams have a channel name and last active date (both of which are only added once a stream has been seen active. I have added temp channel names (will automatically be updated next time you stream) in the mean time.
I would appreciate it if someone could test, by streaming for a little while then checking whether or not they appear on the offline streams list afterwards to make sure.
edit: Hold off on the testing, there is still something resetting the last_active and channel name info. Investigating.
<b>UPDATE:</b> Discovered the problem, was hitting the rate limit for twitch queries each minute. I have already have a fix for this, will begin working it in tonight, not sure if I will get it finished tonight though. For now the updating is turned off.
Bugged again it seems. Offline channel vanishing and channels that are online wont show up either. Double checked with ns2hd´s channel when he was streaming, didnt show up even though its still in the offline list.

I have finally released the main project this was part of, you can now find the new & improved livestreams list as part of the community site <a href="http://ns2hub.com" target="_blank">http://ns2hub.com</a>
So if you fancy watching some NS2 streams check the site to see what is available!
One of the main improvements is that it will now automatically pull any streams set as playing 'Natural Selection 2' into the online list. So even if a stream hasnt been added manually it should show up when online (just not on the offline list).
I am currently working on having a lot of the livestreams relevant info updating on the page(s) in real-time without refreshing!
I am also looking at how I could highlight the offical NS2 channel and perhaps NS2 only streamers.
Like before, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please let me know.
<a href="http://www.twitch.tv/volcanotron" target="_blank">http://www.twitch.tv/volcanotron</a> pub ns2 for now until the framerate becomes stable and I can track correctly
