Trade for NS2 Pre Order

I was wondering if it is allowed and safe to trade for a natural selection 2 pre order. I was looking to trade my extra copy of Saints Row the Third Franchise with someone from steamtrades for it. I just want to know if I am going to run into any problems down the road or if this would be against any rules. I spent countless hours playing NS and loved it so I have high hopes for NS2. Hopefully you all have favorable news for me =D
