Hey guys, old NS player here that's been looking forward to NS2 release for a couple of years. Finally got back into the NS2 beta to play regularly.
Just yesterday I decided to setup a server that I can keep running smoothly and cooperative. My goal with this is to provide a nice server/environment were we can keep everything community driven. Whether it's reporting hackers, restarting the server, or adding other functions to make it more enjoyable.
The name is "Mockdot's Lair | US-East 4.4GHz | Join Up!" (as per request of old NS players), it's located in Virginia and as the title suggests runs on an i5 2500K 4.4GHz so it's as good as the latest build can get. I restart it daily or more if I need to. I'll also be in the lookout for good and active players to help keep it active and make sure things run smooth.
If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments or would simply like to chat with me, just hit me up on Steam, my username is Mockdot.
I don't gain anything from this more than satisfaction of helping others and having a nice place to chill and enjoy such a great game brought by such a small dev team.
See you around!

We've been actually having a positive response, server has been getting full mostly on nights and weekend. I'm considering building a small forum for it, but I'm undecided on the name.
Good to hear that you have installed the ns2stats mod!
Squad Five!
You're welcome. :)

Xoleum, if you named your server the "JigglyPuff Jiggly Room", I guarantee you would have a full server all the time. Why? Because it used to be HUGELY popular server back in NS1 Prime Days. I would suggest lowering the player count to 18 or even 16, as we had 20 people on and I wasn't even spamming stuff everywhere. Add in the motd that server is "Powered by Jigglypuff pedaling on a bike." as was suggested, for extra giggles.
Maybe, not sure if it'd be right of me doing so without even being a regular player at that time. :P
I give you my unworthy permissions from being a long member of the jigglypuff player base :P
