When I see someone my FPS dies

Title says it all.
Everything is perfect and smooth until I see another player.
Be it skulk or marine my FPS dies the second they come on screen.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Somewhat, I've never had this specific problem before until recently.
Ready Room 100fps no problems.
In game, no players, looking at a wall that is facing the edge of the map (so assuming its not rendering anything except the wall) 40-60fps.
Its like the game rules each away the performance.

Try the wireframe-mode (its in the wiki) to check it isn't rendering anything behind that wall. Also, check and see what r_stats says about the num of primitives drawn, compared to for example the readyroom.
Could you explain the wireframe-mode and the problems around this issue a bit more !?
I have the same problem as the threads author having huge differences beetween ready room and ingame fps.
