It seems like you are saying they are showing off the new build? We are on build 216, we are waiting for them to patch 217. So Gamescom doesn't have anything different than us.

I haven't played 216 at home yet, but it looked like a normal 216 build at the gamescom.
I think he was referring to how this is not the most visually appealing build to show off, with the hive/cc teamsight thing, and the placeholder parasite, etc...
also, prepare to be devastated, but no patch this week, check the twitter feed.
I think they should release b217, without the physics improvements, and just make it a mini-fix build, to nerf carpace, change the lerk spikes, minor fixes. Then in B218, they can have the physics improvements in it. Just a thought.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->We made some big changes to physics to get some nice performance improvements. Yeah seriously. I keep having stalemate games this build. So boring.
Two, hour long games of mineshaft where no one was winning. As commander I eventually gave up, getting sick of spamming whips only to see the marine commander ARC through my ink. Our bases were full of whips, they were full of JP marines, mines and sentries.
Then played a few long games on other maps, again eventually giving up because there is a point I feel I am bashing my head against a wall. So many stalemates this build...

Personally, I love the stalemates. It actually makes the teams get coordinated and work together rather than one team just trying to brute rush their way with early upgrades.
Earlier this week I was playing mineshaft as alien and we had the whole team intentionally not upgrade to higher life forms until we could all go onos. We lost one hive but took down their second base and were able to keep on pushing onto their main and won it. I tried the same tactic on another map and we got our assed kicked. We later won once we all gorged up and rushed their main as they attacked one of our hives.
Stalemates are fine with me because thats where you actually have to think and make coordinated attacks if you want to win it.

Being in a stalemate for 5 minutes, then doing an organised rush is good.
Being in a stalemate, doing an organised rush and failing, then countering their organised rush, repeat for 60 minutes... is not good.

I think we just have different preferences on how long stalemates should last. I like the longer games (1 HOUR+), but I could see how some would get annoyed with that. I also like the longer games just because it seems that large majority of the games are usually done in less than 15 min.

i find commanding oh so tedious this build, even for marines, i want my turrets hp increased to at least 600 hp and their tracking speed improved slightly! 300 hp is ridiculus, 7 bites, thats 3 seconds, not even worth the 10 res! give me a chance to hold my res towers if my team suckzors D:

unVEILing. I SEE WHAT JUST HAPPENED.
if you watch the gamescom video, during the setup, theres files for veil being installed, so its certainly coming soon!

Marines tend to hold out alot longer with more numbers
