powered by annotations
I had this idea of doing something different in terms of showing people how NOT to play the game. So yeah, using a few of the recordings I did this month and even earlier, I've slapped together a compilation of my fails during the games I played. I thought this could be a nice way to show why you shouldn't play like this. Accompanied with some commentary as well of course :P
I might do some more and perhaps also some "How to Play" tutorials for general rules of engagements in Natural Selection 2, now without further adieu here's the first video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhPOPcHUaAE
You can use the annotations to jump to certain parts, works best fullscreen

Yeah it's something different from the usual metal/rock hard noise stuff. I've gottah admit, I was hovering about those genres a bit though :P
Glad you went with your current choice. :) Really liked the video.
Are you taking any suggestions from derpy nooby stuff others have done?
The idea behind this video is to learn from mistakes and later on I will probably create some vids on how to deal with certain situations wiht pause frames or something where I explain stuff. So yeah if you guys have suggestions for stuff I could record/rein act, be my guest :P
I'm mostly going to focus on rules of engagement/combat situations for this video series

You're right, I probably need to do some "its ok to sacrifice yourself for the greater good" kind of stuff. My buddy in that video died as well so it wasn't entirely beneficial, the Hydra's didn't get destroyed and such :P
As for more srs videos:
- Kill the guy welding the exo.
- Using a player's teammate against him (ie, making a marine shoot another marine as you kill him, blocking bullets)
- Same method, but with an extractor
- One I'd like to see is how to effectively build alot of momentum while jumping off crap. Sometimes I can do it, but it's more of an accident than me being good.
- Show some newer players that whips not on infestation aren't a melee threat.
I like the concept tho and the overall speed of the tips, if you make another but a little more in-depth it could be good stuff.
Tip: Did you know? Whips on fire do not deflect grenades. -Like, who knows that? Lol.
Ah well, at least I already slapped the HD5870 1Gb in there to replace the HD4850 512Mb, btw this made it possible to play on 2.13Ghz (after everything has loaded and no more then ~6 peeps allowed in combat :P)
And as a Fade, don't stop in one place for too long. I've seen many a Fade die to a few marines because they went for the kill, rather than going for one-two hits before evading.
It would have been better not to die.
I would add
Do not cluster up as marines, skulks are much easier to shoot off your buddies than off yourself.
