So you want a mod that lets you keep the lights off in certain areas of a room after the red back up lights come on? So others who don't have the mod, will be able to see those red areas lit up and if you're skulk thinking you're in a dark spot, guess again.

How about start the game with most rooms dark by default? In the beginning Marines have the whole map with light. Even the Hive is lit up. At least shutdown the hive rooms.

Hallways and non-marine bases, rooms that are alien controlled should stay dark.

Well the dev said it's not happening because it's a horror element. That's unfortunate. I would of loved it if the whole map started completely dark, but after setting up a Power node and destroying it, the red lights would turn on as back-up. So it's only completely dark in the beginning without the power node.

no no you misunderstand, i want an official feature in the spark editor, for the maps, y'know, when you click on a light in a room, and one of it's functions to be so you can set it so that it stays off when power is lost. there's an option to ignore power being lost, so the oposite should be true aswell! :(

That map shouldn't be blacked out at the start but it should have dimmed/flickering lights.

At any rate I think AuroN2 was asking for addition control of lighting for mappers.

Why wasn't this a feature already :D? It would also be awesome to set flickering lights frequency (see corridor near C-12 on Veil)
