<div class="IPBDescription">Friend or Foe?</div>Since aliens can't use ladders anymore I had to change parts of a map and I now plan more ramps/stairs into the future map designs and I am not always satisfied with that.
Despite me having a lot of fun using ladders as Gorge or Onos etc., I would like to know if there are still inside discussions about the return of "Aliens can use ladders again" or not. Will it stay like it is for 1.0 or is there still a chance of change?
Knowing the answer to this question could make creating maps easier since we can plan for the (imidiate) future.
Thanks in advance!

I can't remember the thread, but I know UWE have said that elavators and so on should be added post release sometime - which will be fun. we all know when you add speed and moving things then it multiples fun factor :)
Funny that you mention that, NS1 didn't originally have elevators that made you go splat.
You could block marines from using the elevators on NS_nothing, quite amusing.

That one level with the massive cargo elevator that takes like 1 minute to go to the bottom area was great. Skulks running from the roof and sides while you and 2 marines hold your position while moving down the massive tunnel. God damn awesome, I can't remember which map that was though,

The damage they made when obstructed was set by the mapper.
I'd like them in NS2 as well, but they really have to be well thought out and not just added for the sake of looking cool.
Classic example of less is more.
