    I'll have to keep using the windowed mode I suppose. Good work for the rest of the build anyway, thanks you again for all those pre-order bonus, I've always dreamed about having your artworks in HD (any idea of when we will get it ?).

    You guys could save a lot of time on the marine female model by just adding an option to turn the girl scream on/off.

    I approve of every change, although I don't think the egg fix will improve wave spawning until the waves are increased from 3 to something proportional of team size.

    Also I don't think the MAC change will really prevent MAC spam, only makes it possible to combat 2-3 of them. 5+ is still going to be an issue. Edit: That said its still an improvement so thanks! :)

    "Fixed bug where aliens could upgrade the same hive type multiple times." (what if my crag hive is being hit and i want to start another...)

    Honest plea I am begging on my knees here. Do not keep making marine movement even worse and even more boring. I hit my head on my desk hard enough when they nerfed jetpack energy but I cannot stand it anymore.     Sprint nerf was a long time coming. Glad to see it and thanks for the quick patch!

    Sprint wasn't in NS1 (so don't think it can be called old school) and as it was in build 217 and before was an always press button with very little consequence to hit. Not fighting an alien? press the sprint button!

    Good fixes, no more immortal alien buildings :P Alien spawn really needs to scale with player count though. The spawn rates will never be balanced if they are the same for a 14 player server as they are for a 24+ player server.

    Walljump feels interesting on first glance. Will need time to see how that works out... still needs a speed cap imo @ like 10 or 11 or something.

    Is this a client-side change? Does it mean, the marines get information on cloaked aliens from the server? Regarding exploits, it would be best not to trust the client and simply not to send information like that.

    speed cap should be the obstacles on the map and the skulk's skill. You can't expect someone who is insanely good at walljumping to also dominate because he can kill everyone while doing it. If he can, then the marine needs to beat him in aim!!!!@!!@!!!!!!!!!!@!

    that's great nitpicking, but what he's referring to is "marine movement" in general, which is already lacking...and is made less effective by the sprint changes

    Or you know we could fix in better ways and not band-aids like sprint. Such as more snappy response time when pressing any wasd key and make crouch jumping actually work.

    I keep crashing to desktop since i downloaded the latest build.

    I get a debug report, and it requires me to end task NS2 in order to actually get out of game and to my desktop.

    If i dont do that, game freezes.

    This did not happen in previous build at all. I have not updated any drivers.

    I worry about alien buffs and marine nerfs. Aliens had the edge already.

    Here's hoping we see some sort of changes with khaamander egg purchasing...

    I also have had some crashing with this build (218). I wasn't able to see the error dialog, but I'll try to get the bug report if it happens again

    Crouch jumping seems to work ok now, I can easily get in a lot of chest high vents on Tram that I couldn't before build 217.
    So either they changed all the vents or fixed jumping.

    The visuals when your fighitng as alien dont always give a clear indicator...found the screams helpful to know a marine was dead.

    Make the girl screams only occur when a marine dies alone, like 50+ meters away from any other marine.

    For whatever reason I feel motion sick almost instantly playing 218, that never happened before in NS2 (and almost never in any other title either). It also feels a bit like the screen is stretched out vertically compared to 217.

    I realize the change log says nothing about this but has the FOV changed or is it just me?

    Playing at 1680x1050, 16:10 ratio btw.

    That's good to hear, a lot of the problems have to do with the collison meshes on some of the props though and I don't think those have been adjusted yet.

    Disapointed girl screams are gone. From a game play point of view it indicated a kill via an audio queue especially when another team mate finishhed them off and I had no line of sight. It was also very funny.

    Personally the skulk needs more attention to detail for hit indicators. I can never tell what hits landed and the scream was a great indicator.
