Look ive been following the game for a while it looks great and the content that ive seen so far is amazing although when i finally plucked up the guts too sink the money into this piece of magnificence like my friends before me on the site it stated that pre-purchasing the game would grant access too the beta which is one of the main selling points for this to me i am upset too see that the notice about the beta has since been taking down and i was just wondering if i can get into the beta i can provide proof of purchase of the game

    From what I understand the beta is now closed. You do get upgraded to the deluxe edition for free though, which is pretty cool.

    yeah i know that was also promised with beta access which all my friends have it beginning to bug me as i want to play with them soo bad

    If you prepurchased NS2 via the website before Tuesday, then you have access to the beta. Just take the key that was emailed to you and put it into steam via the 'Add a Non-Steam Game' option. If you preordered via steam, then you'll just have to wait till its released.

    Yeah, that does suck. Beta access was never promised once it went for sale on Steam though. That was exclusive to buying it directly from Unknown Worlds, which is now no longer available. You're not missing out on a whole lot though. While almost all of the features have been implemented the performance is still pretty rough. I have access to the beta but I'm basically still waiting just like you are.

    well thanks for the replies but when i purchased the game from steam linked from the website it stated that beta acess would be granted to all who purchase the game nowhere did it say it had to be directly from them and i think itll run on a 660ti

    You have to understand that Unknown World Entertainement is a very small team; sometimes, they just can't do everything at once. They had A LOT to do to bring the game on steam and they might have forget to take off the old advertising on their own website. They were thinking of the people who would buy the game on steam without coming here. Nowhere on steam you can see "beta access" for pre-order. Also, if your friends were in the beta before you, they might have think that it would give you access if they were'n't aware of the last news.

    So, timing problem, a tiny mistake ? Yes.
    Lies, false advertising ? Certainly not.

    Please don't be upset against the studio, they are doing their best to make the best game they can, but sometimes it's really hard to think of everything.
