Cool obscenity To Do With Webs!

<div class="IPBDescription">holy flockmeh this is fun</div> WOOT! I know you all love webbing things as much as I do. Well instead of randomly webbing corridors just to delay marines, try these, they're all funny as hell and quite effective. BRING IT ON MARINES!!!

1. WEB THE PHASE GATE

Yeah, don't destroy the phase gates, leave them there and web the hell out of it!! Marines will just keep pouring in to their death!! Better yet, web it up and build OC's around it! The phase gate is so low that the horrible accuracy of the OC's wont touch it, but any marines coming in will get slaughtered. Nothing like **obscenity** off the marines!!

2. WEB THE SPAWN PORTAL

HAHAH THIS IS THE BEST!!! Oh yeah!! Instead of killing off the marines, TORTURE THEM UNTIL THEY SPAM THE READY ROOM. Leave ONE SINGLE spawn portal alive and web it all up and have like 3 onos standing around it. When something comes out you beat the hell out of it! More **obscenity** off of the marines! woot!!

3. KILL THINGS WITH HEAL SPRAY

MORE **obscenity** OFF OF THE MARINES!! woo this is fun. If your walking somewhere and you come across a marine, LA or HA/HMG, doesnt matter, web the floor hes standing on!! and keep webbing it! web it up hard til he cant even move! then just sit there and heal spray him to death! A GUARANTEED MARINE PISSER OFFER ANYTIME!!

Well as you can call tell im on a caffeine rush and its hard to think of more cool **obscenity** to do with webs, So if you have any other ideas post them so i can anger the marines to no end!!

Ahhh, gorges, gorges.. I find myself having a harder time killing a gorge than a fade <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'> Any experimented gorge can be as good as any other unit, as far as I've experienced.

You forgot the coolest thing to do with webs. Babblers. I love babblers to bits and not enough gorges use them or in fact get the chance to use them.

I have to say, webs are brilliant fun, and they really, really annoy most marines...

If you can get into the marine spawn while cloaked, sooooo much fun to be had.

I've found that you can't web them more than 3 times (last around 10 seconds). A web has to wear off before they get caught in another. Any 2 hive gorge should be helping on a base assault when he thinks he has a chance to run in and web the phase quickly. Heck, if you're good at aiming, you can web it from all the way across the room.

Why shoot the webs at the floor? shoot it at THEM! They get tangled up just as well... if you know your hl, then you dont really even need the crosshair (I ran into a have, got webed in the face 2-3 times, then he spit me to dead)

you know...a marine would be walking in a sewer pipe line thingy...he falls down and splat...legs get caught in the webs

I found another cool thing to do with webs today, but this implies exploiting the bug that changes an alien to marines...I wont say how to do it but if you know how TRY THIS!!! It's so fun. Use the bug and get all the marines riled up and saying **obscenity** like "OMFG NOOB CANT WIN WITHOUT HACKING!!" Then go gorge and web and heal spray the ENTIRE TEAM. Kills things AND pisses them off. pwnage strategy

Plus you hold a phase gate if the comm doesnt recycle it, so 1 more way into their base. just line up 3 onus or efen fades, jump throu the phase and wreak havoc in their base, and when low on hp jump back through to safety.

but then

that would take a good deal of planning, and if it did happen its probably a fluke as the comm would be more worried about other things than thinking of trapping the nasty fade at base (Unless of course the fades were doing this for a full 3 minutes and the comm just got sick of it and remembered to recycle)

Either way, have your units not attack the phase gate to attract the comms atention, just wait patiently untill you have a sizeable strike force and jump through (might be an idea to have a skulk take the long way and scout out the phase gate, as it could be heavily fortified)
