Pre-Order 2011 and Pre-Order 2012

<div class="IPBDescription">Doubt about the Pre-Order</div>I have a doubt:

I bought the game for over a year (27-7-2011), which was a pre_order with black armor DLC and noticed that now the game is again in pre-order? How is this possible?

And spent money before thinking it would get more and things would only get cheaper then and now again be on pre-order?

In steam when I bought appeared Natural Selection 2 BETA after only appeared Natural Selection 2, and is now again in BETA?

    If you buy the game before it is released, its a pre order. What you got was the special edition.

    Exactly; pre-orders now don't receive the black armor DLC, but can still preorder the game and get into the beta. And the black armor is already becoming more and more rare to see on servers.

    It's not in the preorder/beta phase "again". It never left. The game is still a month or so from release. However, you got the special edition which is no longer available. You can feel special knowing that no new players can get black armor.

    it says beta now because ns2 is preparing to go onto the steam store, the 'beta' is to make sure people understand its not yet complete who buy it from the steam store.

    The Steam have the natural selection 2 for 23 € which has more stuff and is cheaper than mine (which is pre-order NS2 Special Edition).

    I bought it more than 1 year and it was € 31 ($ 39.95).

    I feel that I have lost more than the other people who bought cheaper or buy now.

    You get two copies of the game plus black armor plus 2 years of beta and alpha access.

    you keep your black armor, you recieve the deluxe package which will be 35 USD after release, and a free copy of standard, which will be 25 usd after release. so yes, you paid 40 but get an additional 20 in bonuses

    I will have a new skins marine armor (Deluxe Edition) and Back Armor (Special Edition)? 2 skins because they can only use one
    what is the difference between the two editions that came out 1yr? (Special and Standard Edition)? special edition to black armor and Standard do not have, so it? : (

    People can buy the standard Edition now on Steam.

    People can buy the Deluxe Edition now on Steam. The Deloxe Edition has this:
    NS2 Official Soundtrack (almost 1 hour of music)
    Digital Art Book (40 pages)
    Exclusive wallpapers and avatars
    Exclusive new in-game marine armor

    Both DO NOT get Beta access.

    YOU have the Special Edition from before. You have Black amor. I have the Standard Edition from before. I have normal armor.

    What we both get now in addition is:

    A free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition detailed above
    A free copy of NS2 Standard Edition to give to a friend or stroke lovingly
    Continued private beta access right up to launch day in October

    You get another free copy, dude.
    You have both skins then, Black Armor and new Deluxe Edition Armor. You will be able to choose which one you want to use in the Game Menu.


    None of the features are available yet, but they will be soon.

    Clear? You get a free copy. And Beta access. And Deluxe. And you have Black armor.

    EDIT: The reason behind this is just the Steam launch. It is something companies celebrate and they just do more marketing stuff, with special offers. But you still got more stuff than the others.

    They do need to change the preorder page asap though. Right now if you click on the icon that says pre-order and get beta access it takes you to the steam store. I know I just paid for the game after clicking that link. I do not really mind not having the beta access but it should be changed so it is not misleading. I played NS for a long time so waiting a few months more is no big deal.

    The pre-orders haven't stopped, the only diffrence is now is that you can do it directly through steam instead

    Yes but going through steam does not get you beta access which is says you do when you click on the link at the naturalselection2.com page.

    Hm...how much did you pay? Just try to download and play it. When you can play it, you either have the standard edition or the special edition. You will have the deluxe edition and the free copy then, when they are up.
    If you can't play it you have the steam version without Beta access and free stuff.

    Humble bunlde will be the standard preoorder. the special black armor preorder was before the beta begun around the time of alpha access. After that there came the beta when normal preoorders could get in, including the humble bundle, and the christmas gorge bundle, and the bundle with overmind.

    Everyone is getting more free gifts than what was expected, noone has gotten any of them yet, as Steam/Valve needs to get their paperwork in order, and the game has to be released...

    And read the frontpage again if in doubt.

    I literally pre-ordered the day before the steam pre-orders came out. Got my instant beta access and key through Humble Bundle. Saw a gameplay video and it looked really fun so I decided to try it out. Does that mean I get the free upgrade to Digital Deluxe + Extra Standard Key ?

    So to be clear, everyone who "pre-ordered" (or more precisely, pre-purchased since we paid the full amount for the game) are getting a free upgrade to the steam digital deluxe edition of NS2. Will they be emailing us the steam product codes on launch day? Or will our beta tied to steam change to the full game when released?

    ALSO DEVS, WE WANT TSHIRTS. Or at least I do haha. Do you think there is possibility for teaming up with ThinkGeek or some other game related merch site into crafting us some official NS2 shirts so we help market the game on the streets, raise you guys some more money for making such an awesome game, and overall look like a badass in our TSA or Kharaa gear? (I think the TSA logo would look great on a tshirt)

    I'm pretty sure that you will get one free copy for each copy that you paid for.

    So if you bought one, you get one free. If you bought two, you get two free. I think this is the case.
