can i run it?
Well, hello again. I could not find in my CP where is option to see all your posts so i opening new topic.

One simple question, core2duo @ 1.80 GHz, 2GB ram, HD6670, XP? I saw min configuration on Steam, but again I hope for good optimization. I`m asking cause i dont want to spend 23 Euros if I cannot play game on this configuration.

If i missed subforum, sorry, also English isnt my first language.

sorry but you will probably not be happy with this unless they dramatically optimise performance first: GHz is apparently the bottleneck right now.
i have 2.3 and i can barely play the game decently at lower resolutions. for 1.8 it is unplayable i think.

here is a benchmark thread so you can see for yourself: http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...howtopic=119506

I was running a core 2 duo overclocked to 3Ghz, 2 GB RAM, GTX260 and windows 7 and the game ran very poorly. It is probably time to start thinking about upgrading

Well, that is sad to hear. I hoped that optimization would be good, cause i can play ArmA 2 which is hardware hungry game.

So, no playing until new PC come in house. Well, i hope that next year will be better for me and NS2.

you need a 3ghz i5 or equivalent to run NS2 smoothly at all times, currently. It doesn't look like it will get much better by release. Your video card is great but the CPU was probably the cheapest core2duo that was released, you're going to need to upgrade that. You can run ArmA 2 because ArmA 2 is very GPU intensive, NS2 is not. It may run NS2 at 10-20fps in large fights if you are lucky. for comparison I am looking to upgrade my Q6600 which is clocked at 3.0Ghz and I get 40-50 early game, down to 20 late game. core2quads just don't cut it anymore for modern games either, there's not many new engine games that I can run above 40fps on.
