Invisible Lerks?

So something recently happend either in 218 or 219 that made lerks invisible for me 90% of the time. They can fly through a marine spawn la deee da dropping gas all the while the body of the lark is completely invisilble. Luckily I know where to shoot due to the circle on the hud from obs.

For a second i thought it was silence, or some sort of skill. But that just doesnt seem right. If that is a game design choice than there is no tradeoff for the lerk, he is invis, so he can gas bite and spike all he wants.

I then thought it was a bug? maybe?

I really hope invisible lerks right in front of me is a new normal, The only ones that are near invis are the fades, and i can see those while shadow stepping more than i can see the missing lerk model..

Anyone seen this bug?

    Was this by any chance something that happened on the Nexzil server yesterday evening while playing Tram?

    Because if so then that was me, being stuck outside the map after about half an hour of experimenting with the other Nexzil members.

    Edit: Incidentally, the only place a Lerk can actually deal damage to marines while stuck outside of Tram is by walking through a narrow missing texture above Elevator Transfer (the missing texture is at the top of the elevator shaft, on the north side, just above the visible, horizontal "door" you can see from the inside looking up), and then shooting spikes or umbra or whatever down through the hole into the map. Incidentally, you can also shoot the Lerk from here as well.

    The Lerk can't actually get back into the map though, due to the invisible ceiling. But the Gas clouds in marine spawn I was dropping couldn't actually do any damage to marines.

    No ive seen it many times, its mainly presented itself as being the last comm chair and the last room on marine side and aliens are coming from all directions, maybe when too much ###### gets on the screen i don't know. But Lerks are ALWAYS invisible when they do their Spore drop. I see the spore drop and im like Ohh i just missed the lerk i guess. .But if a scan or obs is near and the HUD circle shows the alien presence. Its right at the front of the trail, but in my normal view, the model is just not there.


    Very strange.

    That is quite strange. I don't think I've experienced this myself. I'm wondering how to replicate it.

    It is possible to glide around with cloak, but sporing should actually break it (not to mention the observatory), so I guess it's a bug.

    Naturally, it would be good to get a screenshot, and, in this case, a video.

    If you can't fraps/stream it, you can always type in console "record videonamehere" (Without quotations, video name can be anything you want) before joining a server, hope you catch the bug, send it to me and I can stream/youtube the section where it happens for you?

    This is what I think is happening, the cloak isnt wearing off in time, or is delayed so when they do enter the area, of scan or obs they should immediately be visable
