Can Not Join Many Servers

<div class="IPBDescription">file consistency?</div> I wasn't sure exactly where to put this but anyway...
It seems like the majority of servers i try to join, this happens: after a connection is made it begins the "initializing and downloading" phase. Just when i think i am about to get in, a message says "server is enforcing file consistency for models/shell.mdl. I've read something about how the new patch allows servers to force file consistency but i did not download any custom models. I think that maybe i auto-downloaded it when i joined a certain server? In any case, how do i change this? I didn't exactly want to go into the models folder and delete random models. Please help.

I bought a new half-life(not just for this game for other reasons)....installed it....installed patch for HL....installed NS....installed patch......still get the problem
