What's with the Drill Level 3 Weapon Sound?

Seriously, one thing I love about Natural Selection 2 is that it actually has GREAT sound design. All the effects are awesome and sound very professionally done.

And then since yesterday I keep hearing this constant drill of the level 3 weapons. I find it extremely "ugly" of a sound. I was expecting weapons to sound like you're moving up a caliber or something (more bassy/crisp) at higher levels... which they actually sound OK for level 1/2 I think - but level 3 is just horrible in my opinion.

What's with that? Does anyone actually like it? It makes me feel like I'm in a construction yard every time I hear it.

    it's not a drill, it's a washing machine. The new exosuit sound, that's a drill. It must have been really difficult to find the right size of infant to throw into the washing machine to produce the exact pitch of sound that they wanted, but all of their hard work payed off.
