As of now there are ZERO reliable, well performing servers that have 100% uptime. Zero. The servers that do perform sufficiently are not up all the time.
I don't know what can be done about it, but if the current situation continues and is the same on launch day, then I think I can safely say that the launch of NS2 in Australia and NZ will be a failure, which would be really disappointing.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Didn't NS2HD say something about planning to make some servers in the US and the EU? Maybe AUS as well? I'm sure he said it somewhere...well, if NS2HD hosts servers they probably won't be bad.
But instant servers that provide an amazing experience you tell your friends about because the game was sooo smooth and ran so well even when playing 8v8 staying at a solid tick rate with no dips are not.
Hell even i built an 3rd gen i7 system for a server for this game just because i liked NS1 so much. Is everyone going to do that or drop how much ever GSP's up charge because of the resource intensiveness of the game? Rather will they think it is viable to make a profit and what will the charge be?
