How to join beta?

I tryed google, and even tryed searching this forum. Don't know how no one has asked this or no one has made an actual thread about this, but I was wondering, what do I have to do to get into the beta? IT doesn't say you do if you pre-order on steam, so how did you guys get in?

    You had to preorder before it was possible to preorder from Steam. You can't get into the beta anymore.

    A disclaimer for what? There are very few games that give you beta access when you pre-order, it's not like it is something common UWE regrets. It's kind of usual to never see the beta.

    Did you read the thread or just my post?
    I mean a disclaimer that people wont get access to the beta now.
    Do you know how many people have posted this same question? Maybe be nice and say it instead of running them in circles till they finaly stress out and ask here?

    The devs have actually said countless times that the beta is closed. There are even Q&A videos of Charlie saying the beta is closed. Nowhere on Steam does it say you're getting into the beta, nor on the website.



    Even in the twitter feed, it's been mentioned multiple times. People just need to be patient and wait for next month! You're getting an update to deluxe edition too for pre-ordering now.

    Yes but, theres no banner saying 'beta now closed' anywhere, which is what is much more informative, right? i mean how many times do you want people to ask the same question cos they cant find the answer? i mean it's not exactly bulging out infront of them when they go on the forums, website or steam page, right?

    I'd think the most appropriate thing would be to put a sticky at the top of the forums, and I do agree that it's odd UWE has not done anything of the sort. But either way, it won't matter in a month.

    There is a banner on the Steam store page that says: "Available: October 2012" and on the store search list page it says "October 2012" on the "Released" column. No where on the Steam page does it advertise pre-release access.


    The confusion mostly comes from seeing people playing the game on your friends list (In-Game Natural Selection 2), and of course the many video's on the various channels and twitch streams.

    And how many new players who have just pre-ordered the game will have watched the Q&A video, or read their twitter, or have seen any of the posts which they have said it? Very few.
