This first one is NS2HD[3], an attempt at running around in an Alpha build: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkT4pqM7YnY
This second one is NS2HD[500], a fragfest filmed in build 220. The mind boggles at the difference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLuH3agbhiY
And to think, this is just the pre-game show. Release will truly mark the beginning.

Ahhh that old rifle firing sound is nostalgic.
And of course props to simon as well.
This should go up on the steam store...

What a long, strange trip it has been. Congratulations on your 500th video, Hugh. Looking forward to the future!
It's come a long way for sure :)
My mind isn't boggled by the difference, looks like what you'd get from 2 and a bit years worth of hard work from talented people.
EDIT: Hugh, did you record this in pub play using the "record" command, then re-cam it in the cinematic editor? Is that possible?
It looks a lot like re-cammed demos from the golden age of Quake 2 machinima.
Will the song be included in the sound track?
PS: The old assault rifle made me smile.
Once it goes v1.0 and we're no longer under NDA, I've got a cute playlist of bugs and random stuff of about 102 videos currently. Some of the none game breaking exploits and such you've already seen :P

The demo record command wasn't introduced up to around build200 I think it was. Would love to see a working HLTV or Source Film Maker in Spark though.
*Just give me some Turrets like the ones out of the movie 'Aliens' and I'll be damned proud.. DAMNED PROUD :D
Either way the videos are still brilliant. ;)
I remember playing in the early days on my terrible rig. Jumped on a rail and got stuck in it, then my game crashed after emptying my clip. Good times!
I can't wait for that. It'll be like watching a blooper reel on a favorite movie! *popcorn*
