automatic Med/ammo spam

<div class="IPBDescription">STILL IN, PLS REMOVE.</div>This is the most extremely annoying feature to day.
Please remove it
it clogs up comms, and i cant hear FRIGGING ANYTHING THAT IS ACTUALLY IMPORTANT. people request it when they need it or want it already, please, take out the autoness
AND THE Q, MAKE IT TAUNT, NOT FRIGGEN REQUEST BUTTON.

    I've never automatically asked for meds. As for auto ammo call outs, I like them but they shouldn't happen if the marine is low on life. That would cut out alot of the pointless spam.

    i do it by accident because i want to press Q for last inv (or alien taunt) but i get raged at because i dont need healing and i wasted comm's time.

    I would not feel bad, most of the games on public there is one who keeps spamming probably for the very same reason :)

    I don't mind it, As a commander it helps me let know when my teammates are in need of ammo and Meds, it isn't that bad or overwhelming.
    It can be quite useful and can help players who are in the middle of a fire fight that that can't send a request ammo/med message

    Im not much of a fan of it either. I prefer the old way with the individual med and ammo request icons a la NS1. Not a fan either of the base structure icons that pop up as well or research icons. Especially when they begin overlapping each other or the structure that I want to click on. I like to hotkey my structures early on.

    No it does not help at all, most people who use it seem to confuse it with the "taunt" key, they run around hitting it all the time to do some voice spam. At the same time they keep on popping up constantly on the command interface drowning out any "valid requests" that actually need ammo or meds.

    Recently i had an round where a rookie would constantly hit his "request" key (maybe to taunt?), after 5 minutes of commanding i started ignoring any further med/ammo requests because jumping to the alerts would always bring me to Mr "Rookie Spam alot" guy.

    If people can't learn to use such a simple request system as that in place, than i doubt the same people would be able to understand NS2 as a game in any way.
    Requesting stuff is a direct Comm - Grunt interaction and as such should stay an individual and active act. Not some passive "just happening by the way" spam tool, that way it only deludes the Comm - Grunt relationship.

    You can disable those commander button things that clutter your screen in the general options, it's a toggle called something along the lines of "Commander Assist"

    pirate dave is right, if UWE can't see how great things like the waypoint system are and how 'no one' is complaining about it for apparently 'dumbing down' the game (which it really isnt, it adds to it massively just like everything else they have done to help players) then they'll add an insight like system in.

    Remove auto ammo spam. I hate it. Its so annoying and useless especialy when marines are close to an armory. Grrrrr

    Yes, please, no auto-requests, I think it was better when it was manual, sometimes one may just not want ammo even if he/she is out of it(being at armory, about to pick it from the ground, want be a hero with Axe, want to save tRes for the team etc.).
    Also, please remove or make more difference between commander orders and auto-orders.
    It allows for more interaction and teamwork.

    Bit off-topic, but please fix the voice commands, half isn't working still and add "Weld me"/"Let me weld you" commands, perhaps commands for Exos too. Could work just as a Text message above one's head with a notification sound, might lead to a system with custom "voice"commands. Please =)

    Should be removed, I agree. Or at least make it server based, so dedicated rookie servers can have it on and everyone else can have it off.

    There was never a reason to have this feature.

    Just put an ammunition counter below the health bar on a Marine in the Commander UI. Problem solved.

    Yup, the player list should have several uses.

    1) Show who is using voice communication.
    2) Allow the comm to move to location by clicking on the player.
    3) Show health and ammo and location.

    There are also some players which spamming ammo/medpack-request . I want a function to ignore them. Last day, one player was calling for medpacks from the first second nonstop the entire game. So I was forced to ignore any requests. Stupid trolls :>

    I liked the idea at first cause I never asked for ammo or health before hand, I always just hoped com would notice me in need. But I can see how annoying it can be especially when your guy calls out for ammo every time he reloads with 2 or less clips. I think get rid of it but make the med/ammo call buttons a lot easier to hit during combat. Maybe make it Z and X for med and ammo and switch the list commands to numbers 5 and 6.

    Its a fareaking headache, its lost me games cos 5 people got hurt at once, and then suddenly my base is under attack at the same time, i get so much YPOPUAUONLGJASOUHGADHG in my ears, PLEASE RAMOVE IT PLAWKS.

    I'm not gonna lie. I hit Q constantly for no reason all the time, not because I'm an ###### but Q is forever ingrained in my mind as the weapon fast-switch it was in the mod and almost every other FPS I play.

    There is no automatic medpack request anymore. But auto ammo is still in (which i hope will get removed)

    I don't mind it, I'm usually not paying attention to when I'm running low on ammo since it's on the actual gun. Also I don't have time to hit z 1 or whatever it is when I'm killing several skulks. And when I comm I don't really notice it as being bothersome either, it lets me know something else is going on so I hit space and go to it.

    I think its the q key that causes the most problems. The amount of times i get a med request when people are on full health is amazing... changing to a key not near the movement buttons would be great.
