Your tone and argument is incredibly offensive, as if you think that somehow the amount of casting done in the Guru Tournament was a active choice made by me or anyone else involved.
You could have come in here and said 'I really wish there were more resources available, because I would love to see more of these games. It's a shame that Friday games were missed.' That's valid. Hell, I feel that way to. A post like that would focus attention on everyone's desire for more live NS2 play. It would be constructive criticism.
But you didn't, your post doesn't, and instead of doing any of that you've induced my absolute disdain for your opinion.
Mate, I've got a lot of respect for you and I appreciate the immense pressure you are under... But you are way off base here.
Kasperie did post extremely constructive feedback. Wasabi responded to Kasperie, and then Kasperie responded to Wasabi. You then took Kasperie's response completely out-of-context and treated it as if it was his only comment in this thread. Please consider that Kasperie is clearly not a native English speaker and as such must be making a huge effort to communicate with you in your language.
Also from an outside, unbiased perspective, I see nothing offensive about either of Kasperie's posts when taken in context. Your post on the other hand, is extremely personally insulting towards Kasperie. You took offence where none was levied, and your hasty response has unfortunately made you the unprovoked aggressor in this situation.

I, for one, think Wasabi and NS2HD are doing great setting up and organizing all these tournaments. Sure, there is room for improvement as some have suggested, but it's good fun regardless.
Information was spreading really poorly, lot of talk about not allowing onos in the tournament and then allowing it. I did not know what were the prizes or who would get them until I heard it after the finals in the ready room. Some competitive talks without informing all the particiants and other weird decisions.
Biggest mistake was not allowing casters to cast friday games, I know casters in this community are extremely enthuastic and this miscommunitication with them gives really bad and egoistic image.
Overall the tournament was a success, more open and clear communication next time please much like you did with the brackets today in the logitech tournament.

How about a bit more respect for Hugh on your posts? And maybe some proper English? Your ideas might be better considered with less "omg u plz k thx" thrown all over the place.
People here have some nice constructive criticism for the tournament, which is cool, but seriously tone down the self-righteous bullcrap. Hugh doesn't owe you anything. He's taking time out of his weekend to arrange and cast games for the community in order to further the spirit of NS2. If you have comments and such, then post them, but cut out the "you owe me this, you must do that" crap, it's childish.
Anyway, definitely an awesome tournament as well, really enjoyed the matches, well done.

He used some "u" instead of "you" and "plz" instead of "please", but otherwise talked in "proper english", so what are you trying to point out here? Seems like you are angry because someone did some criticism on your friend?
I'm with Kasperle & swalk on that topic. Friday was kind of bad, everyone wanted to watch streams and stuff but there were none. So, instead of complaining about critism, take it as an advice for the next tournaments and make it better. Stop "whining" about kasperle's "harsh words", i guess it wasn't meant to be ultra negative (at least if you translate it back to german ;))!
But maybe that's one of the big differences between US & EU, who knows... (but then I'm just wondering about the "freedom of speech"-thingy of the US...*cough*)

It was obviously not a completely negative post considering his earlier replies and english translation, Hugh seems pretty over sensitive. Maybe the moderators should remove some more of his posts.
I completely agree with this statement:
QUOTE (tk-421 @ Oct 18 2012, 06:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Your ideas might be better considered with less "omg u plz k thx" thrown all over the place.

While his excessive use of shortened words irritates me too, I recommend being careful to avoid insulting his command of the English language in general. I'm pretty sure he's not a native English speaker, which is why his direct statements may seem insulting when they are not intended to be.
I honestly believe he is genuinely attempting to ask Hugh to ensure that if he has casters ready and willing to cast on a Friday night, that he makes every effort to utilise them. This is an entirely reasonable piece of feedback, and that it was delivered by a non-native English speaker in an arguably undiplomatic fashion should not incite the outrage and borderline cultural intolerance that has occurred so far.

First off, I don't even know Hugh, he's not a friend of mine. Second, I wasn't aware that Google Translate spits out "u" and "plz" for "you" and "please" when translating languages. My point was simply that he might be taken more seriously if he didn't post like a 12 year old.
My "proper English" comment was in respect to his spelling, not his grammer. I couldn't care less about his grammer. I had no idea that he's not a native English speaker. And I also live in the EU, so I'm not sure what your US-EU comment is all about...
Again, there's alot of good constructive criticism for future casts, my *main* point was that this forum is seemingly full of "you owe me this UWE" mentality and perhaps your criticisms could be better heard if everyone would tone that crap down a bit.
