Pretty questionable implementation when collision (walking on top of other players) is claimed to have been solved. Seems like the typical treatment of symptoms, looking forward to trying it nevertheless.

edit: And the knock back being removed.
edit2: And news of improved skulk movement getting back in the game before 1.0.

    Good analysis as usual Fana.

Certain units like the onos can melee multiple units at the same time, but I'm pretty certain this sort of feature is not intended / desirable for lifeforms like the skulk or fade.

On second thought, even though marine air control may be higher than other FPS (I don't play any other FPS), it doesn't seem that bad imo.

I think more of the 'marine being hard to hit while jumping' issue stems from the short run up that marine take on the floor, before jumping.
At least, when I started paying attention, that's what I do.
land, quick direction change, jump again.

perhaps it's out of my league, but changing direction mid-jump seems like something less effective than gaining good distance with a jump that picks a direction, and sticks with it.

so, jumpy marine wise, it feels less like changing mid jump, more like the shortness of the run-up needed to travel far.

primarily though, I still think skulks who could land attacks with a greater success rate would address the issue better.

If balancing is an issue, increase the hitboxes and slow down bite speeds. I, for one, find it to be almost impossible to hit marines. So many times I am chomping on them in point-blank range behind them and I still can't get a bite in. It's not only frustrating, but completely unrealistic.

But is this due to the game or your own latency/ computer performance/ server performance? I have experienced exactly what you describe but every time the marine was moving away from me and the server wasnt the best. It was humiliating that i couldnt make the kill when i had the jump and gave away my position with a point blank missed bite.

There are more variables to this than just missing a bite. I doubt very much you would have experienced this on a Lan game. Also i bet your target was moving away from you.

Its bad collision. Next time, don't bite and just keep running into him from behind. You should notice alot of teleportation.
