Please don't release this game as it is. It is absolutely terrible when it comes to balancing aliens Every map, everyone leaves the server. What is everyones thoughts?

The problem isnt specifically that its unbalanced, its that aliens are now boring and frustrating to play

Uh, UWE doesn't think it's public-ready either, which is why they're putting out 224 and intend to put out another patch after THAT before release.

Well, I certainly like how the video of 224 looked.

Then again, I never played NS1, so my opinion is probably invalid.

Mouse look still doesn't feel right- even with a stable fps it's as if vsync or mouse smoothing is on. For me it definitely kills the enjoyment given the need for twitch aiming.

Do you have mouse direct input on in the settings?

I think they tried to make bite more realistic, so now bite has to be a pin point instead of wide.

Because as we all know, we can only eat when the food is right in the center of our teeth LOL *trollface*

My thought is to put some player that don't know anything about NS2 in front of the game and observe their reaction. Because after one year of beta it's kind of hard to put yourself in the head of someone who discover the game.

The balancing tweaks that the game needs are minor. We'll continue to see such tweaks both pre and post release. The game does not require the dramatic complete re-write you seem to imply is needed.

Sorry this game isn't for you, better luck finding one that's more to your taste.

Finally somebody else who experiences the same thing. I brought it up in another thread only to be shouted down by people insisting it was all fixed or that I ought to upgrade my i5 2500k @ 4.2.

Ah, is it because of realism? I guess thats why marines jump around like idiots AND fire their guns at the same time while in combat. :)

Or sprint vs skulk speed. :)

While the game has come a long way i think it's falling a bit short of release ready, obviously there's performance and balance issues but we still don't have good infestation, 32 player servers, enough official maps or art, for a purely multiplayer game this isn't ideal, id expect at least 8 good maps minimum, preferably 12 or more but i guess that's where the community is expected to help out, it would be nice if the editor got some love, there a few annoying bugs still and it could definitely do with improvements.

I've tried all the combinations with regards to direct input on/off and vsync on/off.

Always feel like the mousepad has a layer of glue over it.

Sorry, pointless thread. 223 is not going out to the public, there will be patch 224 with lots and lots of fixes and changes, and then probably 1 more patch after that, as well. If it was up to the forum community the game would never be ready for release because everyone has some opinion about an aspect of the game they think is horribly broken and going to kill the game on release. But it is time to ship this game and then continue to fix and improve and add new content in the coming weeks / months / and possibly years, afterwards.
