Great job so far from everyone, just wanted to post a simple request =)
I think my biggest critique so far is that the official stream really needs a dedicated camera man. Hugh seems like he is always doing a million things and a lot of important action is missed while the screen is noticeably sitting AFK/alt tabbed on random empty rooms. I know this is probably not something that can be done for this tourney, but in the future. Checking stuff like the twitch chat, the twitters, the campfires and coordinating logistics via steam chats and whatnot is very important I realize, but I think it is simply too much to ask of one person to handle all that while simultaneously both casting and being camera man in a match.
Again though the stream is great for the most part. Just this annoyance of mine ;P
Missed the live stream, but I'm catching up watching the recorded streams. I have seen a lot of marine comms crashing... Is this a problem in this last patch?
hmm why Arc vs Nxzl and Exertus vs Inv are not playing simultaneously? So the finalls will be again at really late hours for EU? pls start the games sooner :X

Which is what I did all day. Screw football, there's NS on!
No, Thank you to all the teams, admins and casters.... What a weekend.... Next Weekend only looks to be bigger and crazier!?! It will be so different coming to you live from UWE with Hugh, what a show it will be.

..OR just watch all games, wake up after 4 hours sleep, take the dog out and go to work..

I agree. It helps that Wasabi will point out action that Hugh hasn't noticed, but the ultimate setup would include a few cameramen, and then having a director switch between them.
I would also love to see more combat at ground level. Skulk vs marine combat looks waaaaay better on the ground than it does from a commanders POV, and it's neat to watch all the tricks clan players use to dodge bullets as skulks. The fact that NS maps are very room centric means you should be able to pick a nice camera angle in the corner of the room to capture all the action.

You two should try co-casting. Also nice camera work.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Thanks! I'd like to try to get more third-person views (since that's a better way to see high level combat), but the transition from top-down to thirdperson follow can teleport you to following someone no where near the combat you were following (which can be a bit disorienting).
Cant you use Q/weapon2 (not sure which one as i have weapon2 bound on Q) to zoom into the closest player from top-view but not actually follow em though? Anyways, good job ScardyBob, always nice to see the games from even more perspectives/casters.

Third person view is just confusing IMO. Whenever one of the casters does it, I just end up sitting there going "wtf is happening?". Much prefer top-down view. Hopefully first person spec will be available at some point for a more action oriented POV.

I like the top-down view too, but you can't see combat very well from above. There just needs to be a smoother transition from top-down to third person follow to make it more viable and less disorienting.

One thing I find slightly annoying about having so many different casts of so many different matches is that it's really difficult to catch up on what happened over the course of a tournament.
I realise a decent amount of work would be involved, but it'd be nice to see a highlights reel (or an article with links to the big moments of the various matches) made after each tournament finishes or after all of a day's matches have finished.

Tie breaker between inversion and exertus in the semi is some of the most amazing stuff I've seen in the roughly one year I've played this!
Thanks to Hugh, WasabiOne, Logitech, Admins & Refs and the teams for putting on this show!

Otherwise some dedicated cameramen I think could pull it off. 2-3 guys or so I think would cover it.
