Operation Haven is recruiting mature players for our Natural Selection 2 division. For a list of requirements see below:
<ul><li>You must be 17+ years of age with a mature attitude</li><li>You must be a team player</li><li>You need to be active in U.K, EU, U.S or N/A Timezones</li><li>You must have a good quality working headset and be willing to use voice comms whenever online and playing NS2 (We use mumble)</li><li>Whilst on our mumble server you will encounter other members of our gaming group in other channels playing different games. Please do not disrupt others gaming sessions, stick to the right channels for whatever game you're playing</li><li>You're expected to treat your fellow Haven members with respect, whether they're a member of the NS division or not</li><li>Racist or sexist remarks of any kind, prejudice or any other form of bullying <b>will not be tolerated</b>, there will be no second chances for this kind of behaviour. Strike 1 you're out</li><li>We don't have a minimum playtime requirement but if you're going to be away from the website or out of game for 4 days or more we ask that you post a thread in the leave of absence section of our forums. Obviously if you're away unexpectedly then this does not apply</li><li>We ask that you try and visit the site at least once a day to stay up to date with clan news & events etc. We don't expect all of our members to be forum ######s but at the very least we ask that you check the calendar for any upcoming events. It's your responsibility to stay up to date with clan happenings</li></ul>
I know there are quite a few requirements but they are in-place for a reason. So, with that said what do we offer our members?
<ul><li>A mature welcoming community to be a part of</li><li>We play a range of games so whatever your playing there's a good chance you'll have someone to play with (see our website for a list of some of the games we play together)</li><li>Plans to set up private servers for many of the games we play (we already have our own server on DayZ and plan to get our own NS2 server at launch)</li><li>An active, user friendly website</li><li>An active and talented gaming community that plays a range of games together</li><li>A carefully thought out ranking structure, we will always provide the opportunity for our members to grow within our team</li><li>Leadership with several years worth of leadership experience under their belt that care about our members and our community</li><li>Our own 50 slot mumble server for voice communications (soon to be upgraded to 100 slots)</li></ul>
We have long-term goals for our community, especially when it comes to Natural Selection 2. Personally I've been waiting years for this game like many of you here and am extremely excited for the games launch. It's a game that I know I will be playing for years to come so if you're looking for a team that's going to be around for a while then look no further.

We plan to support the game heavily and set up multiple squads, not to mention future mod support (we have a couple of modders in our community already) so ideally we'd like a 30 or so player roster for NS2 but that's best case scenario. We already have a few of our members from other games who will be getting the game and we'll accept up to thirty members but we're certainly not expecting to reach such a lofty goal right off the bat.

Well thirty guys total for NS2, I should probably change the OP as there are already like 8-10 of our guys getting the game, potentially more if I can sway some more of our group. I then have some old buddies from NS1 on Xfire & Steam, I ain't spoken to some of them in some time but I'd be surprised if at least some of them haven't already pre-ordered NS2 so really we'll hopefully have around 15 or so come launch. From there if we can manage another 15 or so members by recruiting here on the forum or even by spreading the word through PUG's I'm confident we can hit our target of 30 or so active NS2 players :)
We also have ongoing recruitment for several other games which may always bring in the extra person from time to time. The thing with our group is that our guys enjoy a range of genres and as such if they see a decent number of Fort Haven players playing something else many of them are inclined to pick the game up. Just a few weeks ago I talked five of our newer members in to trying the EVE Online trial and they all ended up subscribing to the game once their trial period was up as they loved it that much yet had never considered trying it previously. I've been introduced to several games myself that I otherwise probably wouldn't have tried because I saw some of our guys playing them.
We hope to convince as many of our members from other games to pick up NS2 as possible, the more people playing the better right? :)

Thanks! :) Our NS2 roster is growing rapidly now and has quickly become one of our teams most active divisions. We'll be competing in the ENSL from here on out and I know our guys are excited to get playing some competitive matches. Still recruiting so get your apps in.
