seriously..uwe could have made some additional money by selling corys work as prints and posters...
wow, the map looks great so far. And I always wonder how you get Corys stunning artwork so seamlessly into a functioning map! I especially love a new coloursheme with the yellow and orange glows, this alone will make the map very much recognizable. I eagerly awaiting the day this map is released!
And your article makes me even more going up for making a map on my own... But on the other hand your game is too much fun to put it aside.

Game release means that in 5 days, when the game releases, ANYONE who purchases it may play, all they want! So yes quite open!

Looks good, but I do wish the maps looks more like the concept art :D. I know this is more of an engine limitation than the mapper's limitation. Needs reflective lighting like in UE4 (bouncing off of all surfaces) and more texture detail.
Looks great! Good thing marine knockback was fixed, else I could imagine skulks making use of it quite well. :P Refinery reminds me of that one NS1 map.. something that also housed a bio-dome iirc.
The official maps being based across a specific location is an interesting concept that didn't really click until I read about it. I'm wondering what kinds of innovative maps might be created in the future; perhaps those that are more open instead of confined. Ruins of a marine outpost on a fringe world, a city that was recently ravaged by the Khaara, etc. Some fresh lore would certainly help to bring these ideas to fruition. :D
Here's a little challenge for all you Pwnos lovers out there: Marine Basketball - If you're lethally goring a Marine in the smelting room, try to send it flying right into the furnace. If you're really confident, aim for the ladles.

I'm assuming the steam issuing from pipes (probably happens with several of them all over the map) isn't static as well?
Also that Terminator 2 reference is too good.
