Model files .dds causing performance issues.

<div class="IPBDescription">keep giving errors on console.</div>im having some fps issues
and I think its caused by a ######load of errors im getting during the game
as I open the console I can read like thousands of lines with erros like:
"couldn't load model ... files.... /alien/whip/xxxxxxxxxxxxx.dds unknown file type or something like this."
EDIT: found the log.
any tips?

Just to give an idea of specs to performance ratio
AMD x4 965BE 3.4Ghz
8GB ram
ATI HD 6850
I think this error is the same everyone else is experiencing, it has to do with precaching. You are luck if you can play more than 1 minute without crashing. They are working on a fix today, should be patched up pretty quick.
doesn't look like a precaching issue ... since im able to "play", I can only grab a fade and kill a few rines before a crash.. its what? 8 min maybe?
