Hello,
I'm having issues with my microphone which is a headset ( CA - Cyber acoustic ) with a USB plugged on the front side of the computer. The microphone doesnt work in <b><u>Natural Selection 2</u></b>. It works in other games and programs such as skype, Teamspeak, Ventrillo, etc.
I'm boradcasting my microphone in game but no one hears me (Alt left to broadcast) although my buddy hears me via skype.
I bet its either a configuration issue via my side or its something related to the game with some microphones.
Anyways i need help to set it up to work because without this the game is turning sour pretty quickly.
Thanks in advance!

I think NS2 defaults to what Windows tells it to.
You can do the same in the recording tab.
Then of course be sure that your sound options in game are ok and if you are still having problems please post your system specs using Start > Run/search > type DXDIAG > save all information then paste it in here with the "Wrap with code tags" option.
I tried using only my microphone on my headset because i had this nice 5.1 surround system on my computer so i set it up to use that setting but i guess that doesnt work with ns2.
Thx for fast reply
I forgot to mention the obvious "recording" tab too..
<strike>I think 5.1 will be coming eventually as well, btw.</strike>
Developer Brian: "it should work with 5.1. u have to change the windows settings to support 5.1"
