Server-Browser Bug

Today I wanted to look up a server I was recently playing on by typing its name into the search bar in the upper left corner of the serverbrowser. Unfortunately I had a little typo and wanted to correct it, but the game wont let me delete the letters I just typed into the textfield, instead it replaced them with questionmarks, which also aren't deletable. Unfortunately the letters stay after restarting the game and/or steam, which means, that I wont find any servers, except they feature the letters "stü??" in their name. (the letters which are locked). Trying out different letters, I found out, that the german umlauts (ü, ä, ö) are the cause of this issue.

Please fix this issue, since it kind of destroyed my game, because i wont find no servers anymore. ;)

They are tweaking the server browser as we speak. There are known issues relating to typing characters in the browser.

I'm hoping they can squeeze this bug fix into the precache update that goes out later today.

If not, I'm pretty sure they are aware (the server browser was iterated and updated the day it launched so a few bugs here and there remain).

Hi Myru, just read your post and noticed another thread that outlines a similar issue (and fix).

    Take a look: <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=122901" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...howtopic=122901</a>

    Hope that helps.

Cool, thats why I love this NS2 community people can fix it and create solutions themselves. UWE will resolve this soon, but feel free to perform the fix manually yourself as posted in the post above
