Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying this game, but I have a problem. I'm not sure if my laptops can handle it. Obviously I'm not a computer guy, but please help a noob out.
My first computer, the Dell Inspiron n5110. It comes with a Intel HD 3000 Graphics Card.
My second, the Pavilion dm4-1063cl Entertainment Notebook. It comes with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450.
Which computer would work better with it? Im pretty sure i'm missing info on the computers. So please tell me the info needed to know if it'll work or not.
Thanks.

First performance tests by Andandtech (with a desktop pre-sample without TurboBoost) indicate a gaming performance on a level with the desktop ATI Radeon HD 5450 (comparable to the Mobility Radeon HD 5450). In low detail settings and 1024x768 the HD Graphics 200 was faster than the 5450 in Batham, Dragon Origins, Call of Duty MW2, and Bioshock 2. In Dawn of War 2 and Hawx the Intel Graphics stayed a bit behind. The framerates were always high enough to be playable. Intel also conducted some tests on the IDF 2010 and showed a playable Starcraft 2 at medium detail settings. That means that the GMA HD 200 should be able to render current games fluently in low-medium detail settings (see 5450 page for a list of playable games).
The HP has a i5 correct? what cpu does the dell have?
Im going to lean towards the HP running the game better but it could not hurt to test the game on both systems. You wont be getting decent frames sub 30fps (imo) but it could be resolved by running the game at a lower resolution. I dont have much of an idea on laptop tech; if anyone else has more knowledge feel free to correct me.

The Dell with Intel onboard GPU will not run NS2 at a playable FPS, not certain if it will run to begin with.
The HP will run the game will run the game at low settings.
cpu i7 2630QM
gpu geforce 525M 2gb
ram 8gb
It runs pretty hard. I have to play on 1280x720~ and everything turned off except multicore rendering and textures are on high.
I get max 40fps. In battles it may sometimes drop to 20-25~. The average fps is 35~
Pretty damn annoying as I can run ArmA 2 on medium-low settings and get stable 40 fps on native res(1600x900).
NS2 is significantly more demanding (and visually pretty) than many other 'modern' games which have either been cut down to run on console hardware, or optimized to run on lower-end kit while sacrificing the top end. It will place a high demand on even a modern top-end gaming system.

NS2 is demanding but you can't deny that it has huge optimization problems.
