Cant Join Servers

no matter which server i try and go to, it always could not connect to game server reason: could not complete connection attempt. i have cs retail, and everything is updated to the newest version... help... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    This happens to me as well on many servers. WON Authenticates properly, the server accepts the connection, the when it begins to Initialize and Download it comes back with that message. I thought it might have to do with the consistency check, because i had loaded up some custom crosshairs, but i went back to the default ones and still couldn't get in. Maybe it has something to do with something in my config.cfg?

    As for who started this thread, when you pick a server to join, click View Info and scroll down to the bottom of the list that shows the server's rules. Find one that has mp_consistency set to 0 and see if it will let you join. If it does, then your in the same boat as me.

    i hope thats not it, cause i couldnt even find servers with mp_consistency set to 0. i have a feeling thats probly it though... cause im just the lucky... SOMEBODY HELP!!!!! (btw both NS and CS do this, and im **obscenity** cause i really wanna play em...)
