Why limit aliens?
Where is fient death?
Where is hypermutation?
Where are babblers?
Where are breakable doors?
Why get rid of all the hiding spots for alien upgrade chambers?
Why have loading pictures of how alien commanders should NOT build?

They took out Feign Death to work out how to make it not frustrating for Marines, but still effective.
Same for Hypermutation. Just isn't practical in many situations, and can be irritating to Marines when you turn from an Onos to a skulk to avoid losing 75 resources, respawn, and then re-Onos, etc.
Has long been stated to be a post 1.0 feature.
Has been declared a post 1.0 feature for some time.
This made me lol as well.
Well technically they don't build they nurture and grow structures. But yeah it's kinda weird :P

Removed from game for balance reasons or not working as intended reasons (Feign Death, Hyper Mutation)

My thoughts exactly.
Such as building upgrade chambers in the middle of the room, so when marines come it's the first thing they see.
Gotta keep that hive feng shui oriented east to west, you know.
